簡(jiǎn)介:華中師范大學(xué)碩士學(xué)位論文論英漢語(yǔ)言間接性的語(yǔ)用和文化特征姓名王松槐申請(qǐng)學(xué)位級(jí)別碩士專(zhuān)業(yè)英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言文學(xué)指導(dǎo)教師黃小群20050401◎碩士學(xué)位論文MASTER’STHESIS體準(zhǔn)則和諷刺原則。因此,LEECH認(rèn)為“社會(huì)語(yǔ)用學(xué)的一項(xiàng)任務(wù)就只是研究不同語(yǔ)言社群對(duì)這兩個(gè)原則運(yùn)用差別的程度”。LEECH把違背他的PP的行為稱之為“禮貌的語(yǔ)用悖論”P(pán)RAGMATICPARADOXESOFPOLITENESS,并依此作為評(píng)論別種文化禮貌的依據(jù)“類(lèi)似這樣的禮貌悖論行為在某些文化中已成為禮儀習(xí)慣。施人以惠時(shí),雙方一定要反復(fù)推來(lái)讓去一陣之后才得以為受惠方所接受。這一習(xí)慣實(shí)際上表明誰(shuí)也未做到真正禮貌”。所說(shuō)的這種情況在漢文化的請(qǐng)客與受禮中存在。難怪不少西方人認(rèn)為中國(guó)漢人“不真誠(chéng)”,甚至“虛偽”。而B(niǎo)ROWN和LEVINSON的面子指的是“每個(gè)人要求樹(shù)立的社會(huì)形象”,具體包括兩種面子要求個(gè)人行動(dòng)不受阻礙消極面子和個(gè)人欲望得到他人的認(rèn)可積極面子,強(qiáng)調(diào)的是個(gè)人行動(dòng)的自由和個(gè)人愿望的滿足。他們說(shuō),有些語(yǔ)言行為在本質(zhì)上是威脅面子的,也就是說(shuō),這些行為從本質(zhì)上就于交際雙方或交際一方面的面子相餑的。他們將這種威脅面子的行為分為四種類(lèi)型,把許多語(yǔ)言行為都當(dāng)成面子威脅行為;不是威脅發(fā)話人的面子,就是威脅受話人的面子;不是威脅積極面子,就是威脅消極面子。命令,警告,威脅,否定,認(rèn)錯(cuò),批評(píng),取笑,侮辱,譴責(zé),感情或身體失控是面子威脅;建議,勸告,提醒,許若,接受感謝或道歉,表示愿意提供幫助,接受別人的好意等也都是面子威脅??偠灾?,凡屬有礙于個(gè)人包括發(fā)話人與受話人行動(dòng)自由和有損于個(gè)人自尊,LI的行為都屬面子威脅范疇。在中國(guó)漢人看來(lái),建議,提醒,勸告,許若,贊揚(yáng),羨慕,欽佩等行為是對(duì)別人的關(guān)心,幫助,友善等態(tài)度,根本不存在對(duì)受話人的面子威脅問(wèn)題受人之助表謝意是受德不忘恩的道德行為,想象不出怎么會(huì)威脅發(fā)話人的面子。從上面可以看出,BROWN和IEVINSON的面子威脅理論也難以簡(jiǎn)單的用來(lái)衡量或解釋漢語(yǔ)的禮貌行為,其原因是,F(xiàn)TAS理論是以尊重個(gè)人獨(dú)立自主為禮貌,而漢文化則以相互關(guān)切和自謙尊人為禮貌。所以,在漢文化中,不把禮貌簡(jiǎn)單的看成是處理人際關(guān)系的策略手段,而足將其提到表達(dá)情感的占行準(zhǔn)則和社會(huì)道德規(guī)范的高度;禮貌的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)不是互不侵犯?jìng)€(gè)人權(quán)利和彼此利益的合理調(diào)整,而是突出情感的交流和人情的體現(xiàn)。情感交流不是用量的均衡可以計(jì)算的,而是以克己待人和貶己尊人為尺度的;情
