3、ficant therapeutic effects are achieved and pain is greatlyalleviated from the aspect of patients. Therefore, a growing number of medicalexperts and scholars are devoting themselves to this therapy.Based on the translati

4、on project of medical English translation on interventionaltherapy, this report briefly introduces the features and contents of original medicaltexts and accordingly suggests translation strategies with the guidance of f

5、unctionalequivalence theory introduced by Eugene Nida. Apart from that, this report analyzesdifficulties the translator encountered in actual translation of medical English. Themain part of this report is to explain diff

6、erent translation strategies by giving typicalexamples to achieve three levels of equivalence. To the lexical equivalence, thetranslator uses literal translation, amplification, transposition and word-choosing toovercome

7、 some lexical difficulties during the translation process. Among these fourmethods, amplification and word-choosing are widely used in the translation ofconjunction and amphibious words which are often neglected by other
